LIS Notes: Parallel and Serial Conectors Parallel cables (top left) are usually found inside your computer, connecting key pieces of equipment like disk drives and their controllers. They are multi-wire cables, which usually clip onto components and circuit boards. Serial cables are used to connect peripherals to your computer. They usually have 9-pin or 25-pin connectors (bottom left). |
